Dr. Jameson Samuel leads Jewel Autism and Child Development Centre with deep expertise in autism spectrum disorders, child psychology, occupational therapy and sensory integration.

Dr. Jameson Samuel

Dr. Jameson Samuel is an Occupational Therapist with MOT Paediatrics, a Child Psychologist, and Sensory Integration Certified professional from the University of Southern California, USA.

He was part of various international projects with WHO from 2001. He also worked as a tsunami rehabilitation coordinator with a large team of professionals and rehabilitated 100 families.

He voluntarily left that role to focus his efforts on the future of children with autism and to nurture Jewel Autism and Child Development Centre. His career includes research experience in child development, international publications, presentations and advisory work.

As Director of one of India's trusted centres for child development needs, Dr. Jameson Samuel is involved in social outreach programs that spread awareness on autism spectrum disorder and developmental disorders.

Teach and Train is one of his recognised social projects, focused on helping normal school teachers across Kerala understand how to support and handle the behaviour of autistic children in mainstream school environments.

Awareness classes are organised for teachers, parents and college students to identify and treat child developmental disorders at the earliest. As part of this work, seven government schools were adopted for assessments and interventions by professionals at Jewel Autism and Child Development Centre.
